Ivy made a ginormous duck form for her piñata. I made her take a picture with it too early in the morning. She wasn't unhappy, just tired.
\Most of my pictures are of piñatas this week. My Spanish 1 classes decorated piñatas during class all week. This is third period.
The best piñata was in this class. They did have a paper mache balloon inside of the mushroom, but all the outside was cardboard. Very impressive!
This was my favorite piñata maker. Ivy came to school with me on Thursday for take your child to work day. She finished decorating the piñata she had started last summer and let me keep it in my classroom, she helped prep bathroom passes (by writing my name and room number on them for me) and then by the time the last period (my prep) came we were both so exhausted that we turned off the lights and watched Gilmore Girls from where we had left off last summer and I let Ivy eat the Starbursts that I had in my room for student incentives (we used them to talk about stem changing verbs).
This kid suprised me by coming with a paper mache form ready that he had made at a friend's house in our class and he did a great job on it!
The below piñata was a total surprise in a good way too! This girl wasn't here when we talked about paper mache and what I expected, but came with this awesome shark form to use!
Yesterday was a really exciting day. Will attended the Palo Verde "last chance" track and field meet. He needed to clear 10 feet in order to be able to go to regionals and his personal record was 9 feet. He did it! He cleared 10 feet!! We were all pretty excited. It was fun to see Will get excited about it. I tried to take pictures of him later in the day to celebrate, but he didn't like the idea of party hat pants :)
Below is Will's last jump. He missed 10'6", but he's close!
Ivy always gets in on all the fun - usually while holding Luna :)

È meraviglioso. Auguri per il suo figlio. Bravo.
I think Paige should always comment in Italian. Yo puedo hacerlo en espanol. Tu hija es muy buena. Y el hijo puede saltar! Muy bueno! Me gusta mucho! Creo que es muy divertido a traer Ivy a su trabaja. También quiero ver el pato cuando ya es termine.
