Quick Trip for Dan's Wedding

We stopped in Spanish Fork at Sonic for dinner before rushing to Centerville to be there in time for family pictures. The kids loved the airplane teeter-totter (and there was a helicopter one too that was very popular with our younger set)
The colors were pink and black.  Johanna, Dan's new bride asked all the sisters and sister-in-laws to wear a black dress and they put bright pink sashes on us that matched these pink ties.  Dan and Johanna were really sweet with everyone.  She was darling and warm.
We waited for quite a while in the Relief Society room before the ceremony started, so I got pictures of all the playing that was going on with the children.  The below picture is Jana and their oldest (Nate and Jana's oldest), Halle.  You can barely see their littler one, Ella, in the pink to the left.
I thought this was darling of Trisha playing with Ella.  You can see Zeke in the background who videotaped the whole thing.

Josh, Stephanie and Max were on the back row.
Spencer was hilarious.  He drew little faces on all of our hands while we waited so our hands could talk to each other.  He calls these little faces "consciences."  It was fun to have a conscience for the night!

Tommy, who is now five, sat on the front row and was quite the dapper little gentleman in his suit watching his father get married.  My mother-in-law says that he likes Johanna a lot.
Johanna's brother-in-law walked her down the aisle.  Her sister and he live in Canada and traveled all the way from Toronto to be there.  Johanna's mother was also there from Colombia.

Afterwards was a simple buffet and dancing.  Everyone really enjoyed it.
Trisha and all the sisters-in-law took a turn dancing with Dan and all the brothers and brother-in-law took turns dancing with Johanna.  Faith said that the highlight of the whole evening was that she got to dance with Grandpa Evans.  She was the only one other than Johanna and my mother-in-law who was able to dance with him.

Saydie, Faith and Madeline

Saturday we got to spend the night in Alpine with Mom and Dad and then go to sacrament meeting with them on Sunday.  I keep on trying to get wonderful pictures of my kids with their grandparents, but all the pictures I take turn out very real.  Usually at least one of the kids is making a weird face and they're always a little bit fuzzy.  It is however, just how real life is and they are usually fun pictures because of the craziness.

I love these people!

What fun to see the wedding. Johanna looks lovely. Dan looks happier than I have ever seen him. Isn't it lovely that Faith got to dance with her Grandpa Evans?

Thank you again and again for squeezing in a night and church with us!

I love seeing how the pictures you take turn out "very real." I'm so glad to get a report of the wedding from your perspective. Our parents don't really love picture time, do they?
