The Luke Show

Luke had to take two gymnasts to the airport here in LAS last weekend and pick two more up. We were lucky enough to have them stay at our house. He was adorable with his new baby, Abishayla. Both he and Malida were really sharing with their cute new baby. We had a wonderful time showering our affections on baby Abishayla. (Luke said we could call her Abish, Ayla, or pookie...we just ended up confused about what to call her.)

Abishayla was super happy to be held by Bill. He even put her to sleep once while holding her outside. He must sound and feel a lot like Luke.

Bill and Luke always have a great time catching up. Lots to talk about from gymnastics to old friends.
Abishayla was born March 14, so she is very nearly 3 months old. She smiles, sleeps, eats and excels at looking cute. Luke said, "I can't wait until I can make her laugh. That will be so much fun!"

Ivy loved holding her more than anyone, but Faith was the best at it. Will did a great job, but was much less sure of himself. Ivy thought it would be fun to have a baby here all the time (this is the sort of thing Faith has nightmares about.)

These two girls are two of Luke's Dominican gymnasts, Sandra and Alondra. Will said about them, "The Dominicans hate me." I think they just didn't speak much English and there was definitely a communication gap.

Luke showed us how Abishayla dances to the music :)

So much fun!!! I loved seeing everyone holding that cute baby! Don't you think babies soften people and make them better?

Faith doesn't look scared of babies. She looks beautiful. And that hair . . . ah that glorious hair!

Ivy is mystery and loveliness all wrapped up in one.

Will? He's unexpectedly tall. That's unnerving.

Lovely little family Luke has there.
