Tuesday Bill and I went to a new show at The Wynn called Awakenings. The Cornell Club was having an event and it was fun to get to go and see some of Bill's acquaintances from past events here.
The show was really fun. The costuming and set were spectacular. There were great acrobatics and lasers, fire - all the big fun things. The whale below flew all around the auditorium during the underwater part.
We are looking for a new car these days because Will's little Nissan Versa has a transmission that is slipping. It's a matter of time before it goes completely and probably isn't worth saving with a new transmission. Bill and I have been giving rides to Will back and forth to and from work. He has been really sweet about it even though I know it kills him to get rides.
The other big news is Hurricane Hillary. Yesterday Ivy went with me to get sandbags from the city (that hopefully we won't need.) Bill was trying to problem-solve the Nissan Versa issue, so we had to divide and conquer. We wished the whole time that Will could have come instead of being at work! We are expecting a lot of rain. I have been worried about all the homeless people that live in the drainage tunnels. At best they will lose anything they have.
Yesterday Ivy was so brave and went outside and laid down in the rain. She admitted later to having to change her underwear afterward :)

Wow, what a lot of fun dramatic images! Ivy sacrificing so much to run. That amazing show and all of the cool cars. And the heavens letting loose on the desert. What a gorgeous double rainbow you got at the end! Love it!
