Valley of Fire

While Faith was having fun at her very first Youth Conference (at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Logandale) we decided to take Will and Ivy hiking at Valley of Fire. Even though they didn't think it sounded like fun. Once we got there, they changed their minds, of course. We always love hiking at the Valley of Fire.

There is a little story that goes along with this last picture. While at the visitor center, I learned that the Chuckawalla lizard has a unique defense against predators. They find a little tight spot to squeeze into, and then blow up their bodies so that it's impossible to get them out of that tight spot. Here are a few of my family members trying out the same defense mechanism.
